Studiourile Warner Bros. au anunţat lansarea celui de-al doilea film cu Sherlock Holmes pentru jumătatea lunii decembrie 2011, conform Hollywood Reporter,Directorul Barry Meyer a mai vorbit şi despre lansarea altor proiecte Warner Bros, în 2011, în Statele Unite: Red Riding Hood (22 aprilie), The Hangover 2 (26 mai), Green Lantern 3D (17 iunie), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II 3D (15 iulie), Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 - 3D (23 septembrie), Happy Feet 2 3D (18 noiembrie) şi New Year's Eve (9 decembrie).
